| In 1971, Peter was turning his hand to PMRs (Personal Mobile Radios) and recognised the growing need for radios required by taxi firms within Leciester. It was in the same year that he met my mother Christine Mary Luckcuck whom he married in 1976. By 1978, they had a child - Jonathan Peter Luckcuck (myself) born 5th August 8 lb and 13 oz at 2.40pm. I was to be my father's only child. | ||||
| After a little
over 10 years in the PMR business providing and servicing most of the
taxi firms within Leicester, Peter suffered a stroke and sold his business
to Consam and retire early in 1986. Peter took up many hobbies during
his retirement including building and flying model aircraft, photography,
model railways - and looking after me.
In 1993, Peter wanted to get back to his roots and joined Charnwood Communications and later LMR (Leicester Mobile Radio) to get back into the PMR game - which he enjoyed immensely. He remained there for a few years. |
